Before attending private school Ansel Adams was sent to several different schools but he never seemed to fit in and was very shy. So his father and aunt tutored him at home until he was sent to private school. He taught himself to play piano when he was quite young and that became his primary profession until photography took over. In 1927 he created his first fully visualized picture. Adams had a great love for nature and spent a majority of his time in Yosemite. His first photos were shown in the Sierra Club bulletin which helped skyrocket his career. In 1930 he started to become highly recognized and his fame only grew from there. I chose this photo because the main focus seems so mangled and torn but is fits in and blends with the environment around it.
